DAY 1: Luxor
Upon arrival at Luxor international airport, our Grace Way travel representative will be waiting for you then you will be transferred by a deluxe Coach to your hotel in Luxor to check in and stay overnight.
DAY 2: Luxor
Coach to Esna. Check into Dahabia, Sail to the beautiful city of Nekheb, (Now named El Kab) which is situated across the Nile from the city of Nekhen
( Herakonpolis )which dates back to pre-dynastic times and is the site of temples dedicated to Thoth and Nebket.
DAY 3: Luxor / Aswan
Sail to Edfu. The dramatic temple of Edfu is dedicated to Horus and was built in the GrecoRoman era. Horus was the God of the sky whose eyes were the Sun and Moon.
DAY 4: Aswan
Sail to Gebel silsileh. This area is famous for the high quality of stone quarried here for use in Ancient Egyptian monuments. The site is a rich Archaeological area with temples cut directly into the hills. Many of the monuments here bear inscriptions of Merenptah, Ramesses II, Hatshepsut, Amenhoteb II and Ramesses III. Our Dahabia will sail right to the foot of this majestic mountain where we will have the luxury of being the only boat docked in this area. This evening we will have a barbecue inside the temple Horemheb. A truly once in a lifetime experience.
DAY 5: Aswan
Sail to Kom-Ombo located on the ancient site of Ombos from the ancient Egyptian word “Nubt” meaning “City of Gold“. we will visit the two Temples of Kom-Ombo – the first dedicated to Sobek and the second to Haroeris. In the afternoon you can have a stroll around the town and visit the local markets.
DAY 6: Aswan
Sail to Aswan. Visit to the world famous “ High Dam “which was an engineering miracle when it was built in the 1960’s. It contains 18 times the amount of materials used to build the Great Pyramid of Cheops.
We will visit the stunning temple of Isis at Philae. This monument is famous for the international efforts to relocate it when its original location was threatened by the changing water levels caused by the High Dam. We will also visit “ The Unfinished Obelisk” a single slab of stone weighing over2.3 million pounds which would have been the largest piece of stone in the world. Unfortunately a crack developed in the granite and the project was abandoned. It was proposed to be the largest Obelisk in the world and would have stood 40 meters in height. Coach back to Luxor in the evening to your hotel.
DAY 7: Aswan/ Cairo
You will have breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart to Luxor Airport for departure.
