Visit the temple of Luxor, which was built by Amenhotep III and later expanded by Ramses II. The temple features massive statues of the pharaoh and a fascinating avenue of sphinxes. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Cross the Nile River to the West Bank and visit the Valley of the Kings, where many of Egypt's pharaohs were buried in elaborately decorated tombs. You'll have the opportunity to visit several tombs, including that of Tutankhamun. Visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, one of the most impressive examples of ancient Egyptian temple architecture.
